{"id":1510,"date":"2012-03-30T17:32:35","date_gmt":"2012-03-30T17:32:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.mageia.org\/en\/?p=1510"},"modified":"2012-03-30T17:32:35","modified_gmt":"2012-03-30T17:32:35","slug":"board-election-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.mageia.org\/en\/2012\/03\/30\/board-election-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Board election results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a little over a year since the first Mageia.Org board was<br \/>\nelected, so it was time to re-elect one-third as required by the <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.mageia.org\/en\/Org_Statutes#Article_8_-_Board_of_directors\">Mageia<br \/>\nstatutes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Scherer and Wolfgang Bornath have both resigned from their<br \/>\nboard positions. We thank them both for their great work, and wish them<br \/>\nwell. After their resignations, we had two positions to fill.<\/p>\n<p>Following the election, we welcome Nicolas Vigier and Oliver Burger<br \/>\nto the Mageia board.<\/p>\n<p>Last Monday the new board had its first meeting, and the first official<br \/>\nact was to elect the executive committee: Chairman, Secretary and<br \/>\nTreasurer. Outgoing office-bearers were Anne Nicolas, Chairman; Michael<br \/>\nScherer, Secretary; Damien Lallement, Treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>The election results were: Anne Nicolas, Chairman;  Romain d&#8217;Alverny,<br \/>\nTreasurer; Oliver Burger, Secretary.<\/p>\n<p>The board is now discussing how to promote Mageia in the coming year,<br \/>\nand how to make the association stronger in the long run.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was a little over a year since the first Mageia.Org board was elected, so it was time to re-elect one-third as required by the Mageia statutes.
