The QA and security teams are working hard to fix bugs and provide security updates. It&#8217;s time now to think about our next release:\u00a0no rest for the Brave!<\/p>\n<p>We have now <strong>a full plan for Mageia 3<\/strong>, which will be released in spring 2013:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alpha 1: 2012\/09\/04<\/li>\n<li>Alpha 2: 2012\/10\/04<\/li>\n<li>Alpha 3: 2012\/11\/06<\/li>\n<li>Beta 1: 2012\/12\/12<\/li>\n<li>Version freeze: 2013\/01\/02<\/li>\n<li>Development string freeze: 2013\/01\/02<\/li>\n<li>Artwork freeze: 2013\/01\/07<\/li>\n<li>i18n freeze: 2013\/01\/07<\/li>\n<li>Beta 2: 2013\/01\/11<\/li>\n<li>Beta 3: 2013\/02\/12<\/li>\n<li>Release freeze: 2013\/02\/21<\/li>\n<li>Release Candidate: \u00a02013\/03\/05<\/li>\n<li><strong>Final release: 2013\/03\/20<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 24px;\">At the moment, Mageia teams are working hard on specifications for this coming release. In order to improve the way we manage this, a \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.mageia.org\/en\/Features_policy\">policy for proposals submission\u00a0<\/a>has been released. A <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.mageia.org\/en\/Feature_Template\">template<\/a> is now to be used so that we can make better choices, given the content of these proposals and the resources to be allocated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The final list of specifications should be published in about one week, so stay tuned!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mageia 2 was released 2 weeks ago.
