A very happy new year for all the Mageia community and once again many thanks for the amazing job done, for more than 3 years now.
Mageia RC was planned to be released yesterday but we still have some nasty bugs around. Packagers and QA team are working hard to solve them especially regarding GNOME environment, Nvidia/Intel graphical chipset support and installer.
We hope to be able to release as soon as possible so stay tuned!

I started with Red Hat Linus a long time ago and still don’t know much about it. I use Ubuntu more that any other version. I do like what I see on my screen with Mageia OS and would like to help, but my knowledge of programming is zero. I d realize that I need to stick with one version of Linux stick with it, yet I like the view more Linux version in search for the one I can learn best. Should I decide oh your version, Mageia system I will make a donation.
Best regards Joe
Hi Joe
Programming skills are not required to help make Mageia. There are many roles in many teams and it’s a very rewarding thing to do. You can find more information here.
Just introduce yourself on the mailing list of the team you decide to join and say you’d like to help, you’ll receive a warm welcome 🙂
